The complete perfection, depth and symmetry of the pillars seem to indicate their imminent birth from the chrysalis of the mountain rock. Closer inspection reveals a mysterious female figure, half hidden and partially revealed who emerges from, then glides past thick ornamental columns, into the intestines of the temple cave. The folds of the robe of this enigma could be mistaken for and faintly suggest a skeletal image. Is this priestess (the midwife of life), the sacrifice?
