2008 – University of Maryland- ‘Rebirth’ chosen as a ‘significant South African Art Piece’ and students asked to construct a 12-page analysis of it.
2007 – Completion of Galleries Petites, in addition to her established Gallery.
2006 – Completion of ‘Idyllirium’ Monumental 4.5x 1.3 meter painting
2003 – Award for Excellence, The Lyceum Club of Greek Women
2002 – Selected artist ‘Boss of the Year’ Award
1998 – Selected artist ‘Reach for the Stars’
1995 – Finalist: ‘Excellence Award’ – Greek Chamber of Commerce.
1994 – A symbolical portrait of Nelson Mandela, titled ‘Rebirth’, earns her the United Nations Art and Philatelic Award, whereby she joins the ranks of Miro, Chagall, Dali, Warhol, Vasarely and others.

1986 – Medal for Cultural contribution, South African National Defence Force.
1983 – Establishment of Aleta Michaletos Gallery
3 residencies at the Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris.
For the past few years she has been a regular contributor to the Greek Newspaper: ‘Hellenic News’. Recently she has more narrowly focussed her articles to: ‘What Inspires the Artist’ and 15 Chapters have been published so far.
